Visual Kei is a musical movement that emerged in Japan in 1980. It is a musical style that encompasses various styles such as rock, metal, punk, indie, alternative, and other musical styles.
Some bands like Malice Mizer and Moi dix Moi come to use instruments such as violin, cello, piano, organ and even the harpsichord (instruments normally used in classical or contemporary music.)

In 2000 spread throughout Europe and America creating a solid fan base by bands like Nightmare, Moi dix Mois, D’espairsRay, BLOOD, Art Cube, Kagerou, Kagrra,, Onmyo-Za, Alice Nine and the GazettE.

Mirinel and visual kei
Ricardo Pereira (Mirinel) is a Portuguese artist whose musical influences Visual Kei.
Born in Aveiro in 1990. His career as a musician begins when complete eleven years old in AMCSB (Musical and Cultural Association St. Bernard) and thus started their musical training and classes where you learn some instruments such as trumpet, bagpipes, flute, lyre and some percussion instruments.
At seventeen starts earning interest in rock music, metal and Asian, they begin to sing and record later making its disclosure on Internet sites.
