What is this “Animé”?
In short, for the Japanese anime is all that is animated, be it foreign or domestic. For Westerners, anime is all cartoon that come from Japan.
When it started? Mmmmh! It is, undoubtedly, a pertinent question, then get back to the already distant 50 years after World War 2 … Due to the contact and influence of Western culture (more specifically pop culture and North American films) the Japanese began to create “anime “based on their sleeves. Around 70 “Anime” began to travel the world in the form of (not only): “Eagle Squadron” (Battle of the Planets). From then until the present day (through gems like Dragon Ball, Voltron, Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin), among many others) was a growing phenomenon that shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Series – Borne on television both can contain as little as 12 episodes as may exceed 200 Series like “One Piece”, “Naruto” and “Detective Conan” already exceed 400 episodes and still no estimate of when you will end .
Movies – Everything that comes out in the movies, such as “Ponyo by the Sea.
OVAs / OAVs (Original Video Animation) – are series that come out first DVD that take standard 30 to 40 minutes long and very few episodes (3 ~ 6).

Now for those who do not know or think you do not know Animes here is a list of some who passed by here over the years and that may surprise you.
Dragon Ball – One of, if not the best known Anime.
Heidi – One of the first Anime to get our bands.
Oliver & Benji (Captain Tsubasa) – Along with Dragon Ball must be of Anime more time spent on our channels.
Pokemon (Pocket Monsters) – Today not you who do not know this franchise.
Digimon – Who does not know these little creatures that looked like teddies and turned into monsters of 10 floors.
The Legend of Zorro – The good old days, with voiceovers that today would any lover of Anime raising up whole.
Adventures of Robin Hood – in the 90s many series based on Western stories were created and this Zorro and some of them.
